Update #2 from Ruth , 23 Oct

Keeng and I came in at 2pm. They were changing her when we arrived. She moans and certainly do not like them moving her. I went into the room to calm her. She quietly let us feed her about 20 cc of Ensure. She was more asleep than awake but at 4.20pm, she started moaning and could not tell Keeng where she is hurting. She did mentioned her back was "katai", malay for itchy. The nurse gave 2 milligram of morphine but 10 mins later, she was still in pain. Another 2 milligram was given and that put her to a restful sleep. 5pm, Dr Vu examined her and said she is wheezing a little in her breathing. Since her heart rate is steady around 80s, he is prescribing albuterol, to add to her breathing medication which she takes every 4 hours. She gets a scheduled antibiotic Zoxyn too. 4.50pm, BP reading was 149/76, HR 86. Dr Vu showed us Mom's CT scans and Jonah took Richard to the airport for his 6.45pm flight home to Houston. Megan left for home too but will be back later in the week. 6pm, Dr Palacio (Dr Topolidis's senior) came. He is accessing when the chest tube can be removed and again asked whether we have thought of hospice care for Grandma. 6.45pm, Grandma ate 2 spoonfuls of apple juice. 7pm, a chest x-ray was done. 8pm, BP reading was 149/74, HR 80 and temp 98.3. Second Aunt called but she mostly listened and could not talk much. Since a nurse asked me what she can do for us, I told her it would be great if we can get a more comfortable 'lazy boy' and she got a real comfortable one for us. See-Ing and King are taking the night shift. Grandma got her breathing medication as we left.
