Update from Sarah, 24 Oct
Dad (Jonah) and I arrived at 8:30 to relieve King and See-Ing. Grandma was given morphine last night, maintenance doses that kept her sedated and comfortable as she slept through the night. According to Uncle King, she took off her oxygen mask at one point and would not cooperate when Uncle King tried to convince her to let him put it back on. He had to wake up Aunt See-Ing to talk to Grandma. I guess Aunt See-Ing is more persuasive!
Uncle King presented me to Grandma when I arrived, and she recognized me and repeated my name. She's awake now, and moving her arms around -- she likes to reach up in the air and pull on your hand for resistance. Her grip is strong. She'll count repetitions as you pull on her hands -- in English, Chinese, and Malay. I'm getting language lessons.
Dad and Aunt See-Ing were talking about me ("grandchild" = "soone") and laughed when Grandma said "chow soone"... which he said means sour grandchild... I'm also learning Malay ("don't want" = "ta mao") when she'd had enough of the applesauce that Dad was feeding her.

Correction -- Grandma only received one dose of morphine last night, not multiple doses.
