Update #2 from Sarah, 26 Oct

Grandma seems calmer now after receiving a dose of morphine at 7:40 am and a breathing treatment at 8:00 am. Our respiratory therapist today is Lori; she has worked with Grandma before. Dr. Vu came by after Grandma's breathing treatment. He told us that her left lung now sounds as if it may be filling up with fluid. (Up to now, the chest tube and other treatments have all been in her right side.) He will order another chest x-ray to confirm. We remarked that her oxygen saturation numbers are still low, even though they went up briefly after the breathing treatment. He said that this may be because of fluid building up in the left lung, making it harder for her to breathe and get enough oxygen in her blood. Her blood pressure improved yesterday after he re-started the IV. It's on a very slow drip right now. It's a fine balance -- she needs the fluids in order to maintain her blood pressure, but the fluid also contributes to the buildup in her lungs.
