Update #5 from Ruth, 22 Oct

At 7.20pm, Grandma's temp was 97.7 and her BP was 182/86. I commented it was high and was told the nurse Marion who is on duty will be told. Grandma also started moaning but told us no pain when we asked. At 7.30pm, nurse Marion came to turn her again and Keeng noticed as Grandma was turned to lie on her left that she was wet on her right side where the chest tube was. Then we found the chest tube was hanging loose, disconnected from the other tube leading to the drainage container. We were mad to see this happening and started to ask question and the nurse said she will page the doctor right away. She quickly connect the tubes together and tape it and started the pump to the drainage container. Dr Rawi who is on duty came. He examined her and asked questions, ordered an x-ray of her chest to find out any air entered her lungs with the tube opening being exposed. Grandma moaned a little but still shake her head to indicate no when we asked whether she is in pain anywhere. At 7.55pm, her BP reading was 150/60. 5 minutes later, she took it again and BP reading was 140/70. At 8pm, x-ray was done and a blood sample was taken (ABG) to determine how much oxygen is in her blood. At 8.45pm, Dr Rawi returned to report that her x-ray showed no air in lung, he asked Grandma to grip his fingers as he held her and she was able to do as told. He said he did all he could to make sure Grandma was alright but I still insist he filed a report which he promised to do so. At 8pm, King and See-ing came to take the night shift.
